Since I had barely any experience with the Android platform, and just a working knowledge of Java, I decided to release an app called ClassicJunk as a learning experience.
The idea is simple: Get alerted when a particular make/model/year car shows up at a junk yard.
The client app is pretty basic showing just 3 tabs, a tab editing alerts, listing, and past notifications. Most of the heavy lifting is done server side in ColdFusion on Railo, which will be migrated into the client in the future. In the next few days I plan on putting the client on GitHub.
It was my first native Android app and the process went smooth, though I know there are places where I need to refactor logic and add better error handling.
